Overview
Summary: My name is Carrie and I’m a 26 year old single woman living in the Silicon Valley. I designed my first website almost as soon as my parents signed us up for the internet when I was in the 5th grade. I went on to major in graphic design and while I work in the print industry at my day job, web design and content creation has always been my passion and favorite hobby.
Focus: Carrie Actually, geek chic in the Silicon Valley, is a lifestyle blog for hip, tech savvy young women. Topics include: beauty and fashion, dollars and cents, entertainment and technology, food and drink, health and fitness, home and lifestyle, and local and travel. All topics are presented with a geek and or chic twist.
Content: Carrie Actually is an informational blog with a very personal twist. If the information doesn’t deeply strike me, then it’s not information I want to write about. I love sharing tech tutorials, favorite products, biweekly link round ups to my favorite articles on the web, along with enough of my life story to explain how and why I’m interested in writing about what I write about.
Benefits to Companies and Advertisers:
- I emphasize promoting only products and services that I currently use or want to use myself. If your product or service is referred to on my site, my readers can trust that it is worthwhile.
- I average 2 to 3 posts per week so my readers are not overwhelmed with content and can take more time to digest quality content rather than quantity. This means more time in the spotlight for your product or service.
- My layout is very clean and fresh. This puts more focus on your ad.

I’m an avid user of Delicious and use it for all of my bookmarking purposes. Ad Formats/Pricing
Formats: I accept a variety of standard size banner ads for the sidebar (narrower widths) and page footer (wider widths) and will be limited to three banner ads in the site layout at one time displayed in a first come first serve order so the sooner you get me your payment the higher up the page your ad will be. Text ads are available in post footers only and will be limited to one ad per post so you will have no competition.
Pricing: Please contact me for pricing.
Payments: Payment is accepted via Paypal, check, or money order. Paypal is preferable. Regardless of payment method, all payments must be made in advance and clear before your ad will be posted. Please contact me to ensure you have current address information before sending payment.
Ad Policy
- Before accepting an ad, I must be able to review the exact image or text along with the exact page to which it will be linked.
- All ads must be for products or services I actually use or would want to use myself.
- All ads are non-refundable.
Review/Giveaway Policy
- Product reviews will only be done when a sample is provided.
- Samples will not be returned.
- If I have a negative opinion of your product, I will contact you and it will be your choice if I post that negative review or not. Occasional negative product reviews are beneficial to both of us because they help readers put more trust in the review process. Many readers are also looking to see what potential shortcomings a product they are already interested in may have and if they can live with those shortcomings. Of course, if you desire I can post no review as an alternative to a negative review but your sample will not be returned.
- Giveaways will only be done when a sample is provided to me and one or more is also available to my readers.
