Yesterday’s NaBloPoMo prompt was to create a new word. I started out the morning reading the prompt and I skipped it because I didn’t think it was for me. But by the end of the day I had created a new word:
Subjectives.
I was thinking about what I wanted to call the new categories for my blog: Think Positively, Network, Exercise Daily, Eat Healthy, Work Hard, Stay Strong, Build Faith (by the way, I’m an atheist so we’re talking about the trust and confidence type of faith), Worry Less, Read More, Be Happy, Volunteer, Relax, Love, Live.
I was brainstorming ideas like goals, check list, to dos, acheivements, and objectives. And I liked objectives but objectives are, by definition, not open to interpretation and my goals are most definitely open to interpretation so they are subjective. Subjective is an adjective but I’ve decided to turn it into a noun for my purposes. I have goals that are open to interpretation and are also serendipitously currently the subjects of my blog so we’re going with it.
By the end of the day every day, I want to be able to think of at least one thing I did to reach one of my subjectives.
Does your life have subjectives?
