I’m so incredibly picky when it comes to shoes that the average man has more shoes than I do.

I’m six feet tall and only feel comfortable wearing flats. I wear a size 11 and women’s shoe styles are often made only up to size 10. And I require both comfort and cuteness, I’m not willing to sacrifice either one.

It’s extremely rare that I find shoes that meet my strict criteria so I was pleasantly surprised that the latest J. Crew catalog features two excellent candidates. I’ve ordered both and will be testing for comfort as soon as they arrive.

J. Crew Black Gladiator Sandal

Reese back-zip gladiator sandals. I’m hoping back zip sandals are comfortable, I’ve never tried them before but they look like they could be better on the heels than little straps.

J. Crew Pink Moccasins

Emilie leather and suede moccasins. These look comfortable and cute for sure, way cuter than you’re average moccasin in that lovely Paris Pink color and with the bow.

Don’t forget to click through eBates (that’s my referral link, we’ll each get $5 when you place your first order) for 2% cash back if you’re shopping online from J. Crew.

I think I got a little spoiled this year but it makes up for the fact that we didn’t really do any gifts last year or the year before:

Tiffany Open Heart Pendant in Rose Gold
Gelly Roll Stardust Pens
Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Squares (2 bags)
Bliss Spa and Aaaah Tried + Blue Bubbling Body Wash and Body Lotion Set
Xhilaration Polka Dot Pajama Shorts
Urban Legends Bloody Mary DVD
Swiss Tech Screwz All 4-in-1 Multi Tool
Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine
Stila Kitten Eyeshadow and Lipglaze Set (the set is now sold out but you can find them separately here)
Stainless Steel Spice Measuring Spoons (extra narrow so they fit nicely in spice jars)
Penguin Spatula
Bamboo Wooden Spoon
1lb See’s Chocolate, $25 Jamba Juice, and $15 iTunes giftcards

What did you get?

Are you making a list and checking in twice? If you’re still working on it, here are a few ideas for the geek chic girl on your list:

gingerbreadmanPhilosophy The Gingerbread Man – $25 – geek chic girls love salt scrubs more than any other type of bath and body product

peppermintbark2Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark – $3.95 – the best seasonal candy bar in existence; a visit to a Ghirardelli ice cream shop for a peppermint bark sundae would also be an awesome treat

gellyrollGelly Roll Stardust Pens – $11.51 for a 6 pack – the glitteriest pens ever made; the stardust line is far superior to even other Gelly Roll pens

pjpantsJ. Crew Tall Sized Pajama Pants – $45 – maybe the price makes you cringe, but my ankles thank you while I sleep on cold winter nights

rosegoldheartTiffany Open Heart Pendant in Rose Gold – $475 – I’ve been wishing for this pendant for years now and have the perfect rose gold chain to wear it on
