One of my favorite new people that I’ve met so far at my new job is Denise Tanton (@dtanton). And by met I mean we’re both employed by the same company but I’ve only emailed and tweeted with her. And by favorite I mean that I’m pretty much blown away by anything she writes for the BlogHer website.
One of her recent posts was a list of ten things she wants to get done in March. I love this approach because one to do item every three days spread out over the month seems a lot more reasonable than my usual 10 things I need to finish in the next 3 hours lists.
So here’s my own ten things to do in March list:
- read a book
- clean up the cardboard boxes in the garage
- organize the laundry area so we know what’s clean and what’s dirty
- dry clean and repair clothes
- set up skype
- get the puppy 100% house trained (I got lazy after we got the doggy door)
- prepare and photograph 2 recipes for future kuchentogether.com posts
- decorate my cube at work
- watch the movie I got from Netflix in December or send it back without watching it
- either eat or throw out the rest of my Christmas candy because it’s now March
What’s on your to do list for March?

This is such a good idea. I tend to put too many things on my daily to do list, which is frustrating when I can’t finish everything. I think I will make a nice cup of tea, sit down and make a 10 things to do in March list.
Great idea! I like this…going to do this too!
To do lists are great. I make one every day and week, rather than monthly. get so much joy when an item is checked off! Little things can make us happy.
I’ll eat the candy.
that’s one of the few things i have finished so far. a few days ago i was like wow i’m making good progress, oh wait it’s the last week of march already
