Welcome to the Virtual Launch Party!

by Carrie on August 18, 2009

Welcome to Carrie Actually! I invite you to find a comfy spot on the couch, prop your feet up on the coffee table, and stay awhile.

I’m so excited that you’re here. Let me start by introducing you.

Then I invite you to catch up on what I’ve been working on and learn more about what I’m interested in.

If you’re having a good time you should invite your friends to the party. You can help spread the word on Twitter, StumbleUpon, or any other social networking site of your choice or you could send your friends a good old fashioned email.

You can subscribe via RSS or email or connect with me on other sites for an open invitation to come back any time.

I was surprised to receive an e-mail about your new site because I wasn’t really aware that we’d connected. Geek chic didn’t even sound like something I’d be interested in. Actually, after visiting, I find that it is!

I think I’m more at the geek end of the spectrum – I’m all in favor of women getting a little immersion in science and technology. I really don’t think I’ve ever been described as chic, so maybe I’ll learn something by being enticed here to read about geek stuff :-)

I wish you success with the new site. I’ll connect on Twitter, if I can get it to let me have any new followers. You know, you’re going to have to entice me into using Seesmic because my Twitter is really out of control and I can’t get up the energy to tackle a new application. Make it sound fabulous for me, please!
